@rek0r

So are you saying you would prefer a tabular layout? I can do that very easily, and it is less strain on page load. I agree on the drop buttons that they need a label, I can add those too.

The reason I added the payment information was that when I first looked through the existing trades etc there were people who had specified a different service.

To be honest, from your feedback I am still pretty unclear on what you do want (I can't visualise it) but I am clear that you don't like what we have now. Big Grin

Here are some examples of the filters you can already do - you can use multiple filters - that is how it was before as well >>

All Cues for sale, used condition, sale not ended

OR

All items for sale new condition, sale not ended

The bits at the bottom that you found confusing were there for people who might not understand how to filter. Given the filters, I don't see why you need to add it to the title tbh.

Do you have any positive comments about the site or should I assume that the WTF was your only issue and otherwise you like it?

Think everything has been moving in the right direction here. The wanted for sale area seems a little confusing as some things look llike there e-bay listings, and some are direct classified ads. I didn't really spend to much time there, this was just my quick impression, which may be off base. Great job so far Frank and Leefish.

Yea, I think it is up to Frank to say if he wants EBay listings repeated here. Personally I don't like it: if the cue is shown as for sale here then it is for sale. If I have to plod all over the web looking for stuff and the linked items turn out to be EBay auctions have ended then that just annoys me.

Actually they are all classified adds,,,,,,none are ebay links Goose.

This area is set up as a gallery to better feature members classifieds, not only IN the classifieds section, but also on the main (INDEX) page as well.

I had alot of filtered RSS feeds here before that didn't really get much use, but did use alot of resources as far as bandwidth. Thinking back, it seems detrimental to feature non members items on ebay in conjunction to members classifieds posted on site. For those that like the ebay searches a few filtered searches in ones favorites would accomplish the same thing.

The other thing, as Lee mentioned is it's alot of mess to try to clean up once the auctions expire.

I think our gallery is a much better system now than other sites use, especially with all the filters we have, so users can see excactly and only what they wish to see, without going thru pages and pages of completed and active sales and all the bumping and such.

I don't see a need to push other sites that don't push us, especially the ones who hinder our efforts.

I just need to know if I understand this correctly. If I upload pics and post to a thread, then later I want delete them so I can upload to a different thread, they are removed from the original post?

You can attach images to a post from sites like photobucket,,,,which are not uploads, just links. When you link they will become broken links if the image at the other site moves.

The best way is to add the image as an attachment, which is uploaded to the site from your computer. Each image that is attached has an attachment number, which can be attached to several posts at the same time, or inserted into post multiple times, or in multiple posts. Deleting one post does not affect images in another.

Make sense?

Makes sense. I had more pics of Man cave, but too many for the 1MB limit. The 5mb wouldnt help much more. Guess I need to downsize my files
